Kallelse till Migrationsverket

You are summoned to a personal visit – often for identity verification, passport inspection or an investigation interview.

What the letter means

A summons means Migrationsverket wants to meet you in person. It is a common step in citizenship cases and usually a sign that your case is being actively processed.

The purpose is stated in the letter – most often verification of identity documents, but it can also be an interview about e.g. your residence time.

What you need to do

  1. 1Confirm the appointment if the letter asks you to, or reschedule in good time if you cannot attend.
  2. 2Bring the summons letter and valid identification.
  3. 3Bring the documents stated in the letter – often passport in original (including expired passports).
  4. 4Arrive on time at the correct office – the address is in the summons.
